FOREST RESTORATION

The dry temperate forests of Chitral are a crucial component of the mountain ecosystem, providing a myriad of ecosystem services, including habitat for wildlife, carbon sequestration, and a sustainable source of livelihood for local communities. MSRD actively engages in reforestation and afforestation projects, working to counter deforestation and forest degradation. Through these initiatives, MSRD not only helps restore the health of these forests but also contributes to the overall resilience of the region against climate change impacts.
